Cambodia Integrated Community Development through Partnership
The goal of the CWS Cambodia Partnership Program? Improve the lives of poor and vulnerable Cambodians by strengthening the capacity of Cambodian NGO partners to plan and manage local development programs. The end goal: improve the lives of the communities we serve. This program currently operates in two provinces: Kampong Thom and Battambang.
During the 2014 fiscal year, we provided financial support and technical assistance to two Cambodian NGOs, the Help Old Age and Miserable People, known as HOM, and Co-operation for Development of Cambodia, known as CoDeC. We assisted these partners to implement integrated community development programs in 12 target villages in Stoung and Kampong Svay districts, all in Kampong Thom province.
In the provinces of Battambang, we provided financial support and technical assistance to the local NGOs Khmer Community Development Association and Association Development for Our Villager’s Rights, known as ADOVIR. In both cases this was done to implement an Integrated Community Development Program in 24 target villages in Samlout and Sampov Lun districts.
Through our support of the four NGO partners, our support has directly benefited an estimated 17,225 community residents in the two provinces.
